ARTIST | Izzy and the Fins (Isaiah Morfin)
Like all great musicians, Isaiah Morfin dropped out of Berklee School of Music and got a job working at a gas station in Bakersfield. He made extra money playing Charlie Parker tunes on alto sax in front of the local Walmart. Morfin bought a Korg Minilogue and started writing songs about urban decay and not too distant futures. He reached out to producer Chris Schlarb who bought into the vision and recruited drummers Danny Frankel and John Miranda. Long time BIG EGO session musician Tony Rinaldi and guitarist Jason Heninger contributed mightily to the project and two years later the group is ready to release their full length album, “Mirrorball.”
